Dance/Baton/Acrobatics/Musical Theatre & Hip Hop for Girls & Boys

Under the direct ion of Linda Taylor Boyd, certified and qualified teacher.

Member of M.B.T.S.A. (Baton) and Dance Manitoba.

 

DANCE

Instruction for children 3 years and up.

Mini Steps: 3 & 4 years old

Pre-Ballet

Pre Tap: 5 years old

Combination Dance Classes: Jazz & Tap, Tap & Ballet and Tap Only. Beginner to advanced level all ages.

 

BATON

For children 3 years and up. Classes for recreational to competitive athletes both group and solo baton.

Many athletes are the 2003 Unicity and Provincial Dance Twirl and Corps winners.

 

ACROBATICS

Available for boys and girls ages 3 years and up. For all levels beginner to advanced. this program is structured on basic mat work to advanced tumbling moves (excluding such apparatuses as the parallel bars and vault.)

Note: All classes for Dance/Baton/Acrobatics will be held at Winakwa Community Centre on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Classes on Friday and Wednesday evening at Howden School. All competitive baton classes are at Howden School on Wednesday.

Annual fee for the above classes is $90 for ½ hour weekly class and 45 minute lessons are available. Private lessons are $180. Lessons commence at the end of September concluding with a recital in June.

 

MUSIC THEATRE FOR BOYS & GIRLS

Ages 6 years and up, held on Monday evenings at Niakwa Place School starting at 6:30 pm. One-hour classes. Due to the popularity of this program we will be having two groups. The younger children will be in one group (6 years to 11) under the direction of Kami Delilets. They will be doing a Salute to Disney.

Ages 12 and up will be in the second group under the direction of Michelle Street. Production t o be announced. Annual fee is $180 for one hour classes from October to May. For more information phone Michelle at 284-6286.

 

HIP HOP

Ages 8 years and up. 4 5 minutes once a week from October to May. Annual fee $145. Under the direction of Michelle Street (284-6286) Because we are a community centre, we do not have to charge expensive dance school rates, however, you will receive the same instruction.
