Main hall - licensed for 245 people. 

 

Weddings comfortably fit 180-200 people.

 

Rental Rates effective January 1, 2012

Weddings:   $ 1,300.00     5:00 PM -1:00 AM

Socials/alcohol selling functions:                               

    Fridays:   $ 950.00     8:00 PM - 1:00 AM

    Saturdays: $ 1,000.00     8:00 PM - 1:00 AM

New Years Eve:  $ 1,850.00     8:00 PM - 2:00 AM

Showers/birthday parties:*           

     * (Non Alcoholic Functions)     $ 300.00   

Charity socials (e.g. Burn Fund, etc.):                               

    Fridays:  $ 850.00     8:00 PM - 1:00 AM

    Saturdays: $ 900.00     8:00 PM - 1:00 AM   

 

Damage deposit of $300.00 is required to hold the rental.

(Refundable 2 to 3 weeks after the event.)

We have a handicap washroom and the main floor is handicap accessible.

 

Rental of hall includes the following:

- liquor dispensers                   - beer glasses

- water and juice containers      - kitchen facilities    

- cash box                              - set-up and clean-up  

- 2 bartenders                         - 1 supervisor

- 50 and 100 cup coffee urns

- unlimited:

    - Pepsi product                    - ice

    - orange juice                     - clamato juice

    - coffee                              - cream, sugar and stir sticks

    - liquor glasses                   - coffee cups

 

All items brought in must be removed from the hall that night!

Tables MUST be cleared off and refuse placed in garbage bags.

 

 

Gymnasium - licensed for 438 people. 

 

Weddings comfortably fit 350-400 people.

Weddings:  $ 2,800.00     5:00 PM -1:00 AM

Socials/alcohol selling functions: $ 2,200.00    8:00 PM - 1:00 AM

New Years Eve:  $ 3,000.00     8:00 PM - 2:00 AM

- Cable television and visual presentation board

- Kitchen facilities

November 2010

 

Temperature of -14 C, installing rebar and water lines to heat the

cement.

 

Installing a portion of the floor.

 

The interior wall was removed between the front entrance and the

skate exchange to make way for the large grand hall.

 

Heating and hoarding for the brick layers. Behind the tarps are two

interior walls with a lot of electrical and plumbing within them.

June 2009 - Exciting Expansion News! 

 

Federal government, province and city announce investment in recreational infrastructure in St. Boniface.

 

The Winakwa Community Centre will move forward an expansion

and renovation thanks to funding from all three levels of government.

 

Under the project, the Winakwa Community Centre will construct a

full-sized gymnasium, including a front entrance, change rooms, washrooms, mechanical and circulation area as well as renovations

to the existing space.

 

"On behalf of of the Board of Winakwa Community Centre and our

many members, I am pleased to accept the opportunity to fulfill the

much needed expansion to our facility," said Robert K. Gobeil,

President of the Winakwa Community Centre.  "This will enable us

o better serve the needs of the many seniors, adults and children

of our community."
